plays

I'm a contemporary absurdist, exploring how the extraordinary can reveal greater human truths in the ordinary.

Absurdism, to me, is not a style of writing—rather a way of being in the universe. I’m interested in that juxtaposition between the grotesque and the ridiculous. As humans, we are connected to one another by our deepest emotions, and by transmogrifying them into the environment around us, we can start to understand who and what we truly are.

My plays are wild.

They are decidedly not realism.

They are emphatically theatrical.

My plays are linguistically complex, often in a mix of verse and prose.

They are moody. They are loud and messy. They are proudly absurd.

My plays are curious. They are furious. They contain worlds.

They are strange and truthful.

My plays are wild.
